HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28 – Can’t use Scanner on Linux

One more in a row of new products from HP which dont fulfilling our expectations. I was buy HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28 for the business purposes and try to set up his on Linux based client host ( Ubuntu 18.04 ) and after some struggling around setting up i find that this MFP printer cant scan on linux.

This is very frustrating, is HP try to abandon your customers? This is a third HP product in last year which dont fulfilling our/my expectations. Why they say that this printer have drivers for linux if he can’t scan. This function is important and if you buy printer with scanner that this mean that you need scanner.

On the “bugs launchpad” i can find that this is reported 2019-01-12 and till now problem cant been resolved. What a waste of money and time.

Thank HP, you lost one more custommer.
